VISIT TO AERO INDIA 2013

My friend Aravind Pai called me late on Sunday night asking what I was doing at 9am on Monday morning, I was initially perplexed at his query, but when he told me he has access to visit the Air Show to see the rehearsal of the Air Display at Air Force Station Yelahanka, all plans of Monday morning were pushed aside and told him I was more than willing to accompany him.

We met up at 8.45 am at his  apartment, his neighbour was an air force employee and he had graciously offered to take us to a sneak preview of the display.

9 am we started off in two cars, one with the neighbour's family and us following, it is a short drive to the Air Force Station and we were met at the main gate by the neighbour himself and ushered through all the barricades and security checks to park our cars next to the ATC. He then told us that we could either sit with all other guests in front of the ATC where seating arrangements were made or choose to sit behind his office building a little away from the ATC and parallel to the tarmac, we obviously chose the latter.

We had a ring side view of all the aircraft taking off, performing their maneuvers and then landing. So let the pictures do the talking now.
