We met up at 8.45 am at his apartment, his neighbour was an air force employee and he had graciously offered to take us to a sneak preview of the display.
9 am we started off in two cars, one with the neighbour's family and us following, it is a short drive to the Air Force Station and we were met at the main gate by the neighbour himself and ushered through all the barricades and security checks to park our cars next to the ATC. He then told us that we could either sit with all other guests in front of the ATC where seating arrangements were made or choose to sit behind his office building a little away from the ATC and parallel to the tarmac, we obviously chose the latter.
We had a ring side view of all the aircraft taking off, performing their maneuvers and then landing. So let the pictures do the talking now.
An MI8
The Sukhois waiting for their turn
An MI8 gets ready to take off
A Chetak lands
The MI8 with the Chief Guest Arrives
The Flypast with the helicopters carrying flags
The ALH shows it's versatility
A Tigermoth shows it's nimbleness
Dassault Rafale takes off
The Sukhoi is up next
The F16 is next up
Finally the Sarang Team performs
So after about two hours of enthralling displays and countless photos clicked we were done for the day.
Amazing Shots! :D
